Boat Lift & Return to Water

Our trailer can lift narrowboats — including flat and V hull types up to 70 ft — from the water onto hard standing for surveys or agreed work, and return them when the work is finished.

Engine Servicing

We service all popular engine models including Barrus Shire, Beta Marine, Vetus, Yanmar, Nanni, Isuzu, and BMC, as well as more traditional engines from Lister, Gardner, Kelvin, and Russell Newbery. A standard service covers oil and filter changes, belts, and a full nuts-and-bolts check. We also diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, coolant, and mechanical faults, remove engines for mount replacement, and install and commission new engines and gearboxes.

Hull Blacking

Our standard process involves pressure washing, scraping and abrading with a cup brush, treating rust with Vactan, and applying two coats of two-pack epoxy blacking. The boat is typically out of the water for around a week. Shot-blasting to bare metal and baseplate blacking are also available on request.

Anodes

We supply and fit standard and slimline anodes in high-quality materials to protect your hull from corrosion. Our team can advise on the right type for your boat.

Overplating

For baseplates or hull sides that are damaged, badly corroded, or excessively pitted, we can overplate affected sections or the complete hull. Surfaces are carefully prepared to remove contaminants, and mild steel plates are cut, profiled, and MIG welded in place. All welds are cleaned, dressed, and inspected.

Pit Welding

Where hull sides are pitted but don't yet require overplating, we can weld-repair the surface — cleaning pits with a die grinder, welding, and grinding back to a smooth finish.

Boat Painting

We can paint a whole boat or individual sections — cabin sides, roof, decks, bulkheads, and gunwales. Surfaces are prepared back to bare metal where needed, built up with quality primers and undercoats, and finished with multiple topcoats applied by brush and roller for a long-lasting, traditional result.

Electrical Systems

Our technicians diagnose and repair faults in 12/24/48V and 240V systems. We supply and fit inverters, chargers, consumer units, lighting, sockets, pumps, immersion heaters, and domestic appliances, and can supply and fit leisure and starter batteries and shoreline connections.

Space Heating Systems

We service and fault-find Webasto and Eberspächer diesel heaters using proprietary diagnostic software, and are experienced with Alde gas heaters. We can supply and fit complete Webasto and Eberspächer systems including fuel supply, control panels, radiators, and hot water tanks.

Solid Fuel Stoves

We design hearths and install stoves, flues, and chimneys to suit the layout and style of your boat and meet boat safety requirements.

Gas Systems

All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe engineer. We install bottles, regulators, gas lines, test points, and valves, and can supply and fit new cookers, ovens, and hobs. All work is Gas Safe certified.

Plumbing & Water Systems

We repair, replace, or extend any part of a water system and check the overall system for security. We also service pump-out, cassette, and composting toilet systems and can diagnose and fix most problems including macerators, blocked pipes, and seized valves.

Boat Winterising

If your boat will be unvisited over winter, our service drains the water system, checks antifreeze levels in engines and heating systems, and checks battery condition and electrical systems — protecting your boat from costly cold-weather damage.

Solar Panel Installation

A well-specified solar system is one of the best investments you can make for life on the water. We design, supply, and fit PV systems with installed capacities typically between 200–800Wp depending on your needs, budget, and available roof space. Systems include rigid or semi-flexible panels, cabling, charge controller or inverter, fuse protection, and full integration with your existing electrics and batteries. We use high-quality components including Victron.

Galley Refurbishment

A well-equipped galley makes a real difference to life aboard. We fit new kitchen units, cabinet doors, shelving, worktops, sinks, taps, and appliances — making the most of the available space.

Bathroom Refurbishment

We install or upgrade shower trays and enclosures, sinks and vanity units, toilets, fixtures and fittings, and flooring to create a comfortable and practical bathroom.

Saloon Remodelling

The saloon is the heart of life on board. We can remodel or fabricate furniture — L-shaped or pullman dinettes, storage solutions, cabinetry — and introduce new lighting and features to make the space as comfortable and inviting as possible.

We offer a one-stop-shop for complete fit-outs. We've stripped boats back to the battens and hull base, relined cabin sides and headlining, fitted new floors and bulkheads, and installed new electrical, water, and heating systems throughout.
